Oh dear, Laura's just called me to say that they've had a special assembly this morning and her English teacher has died, it is so sad and they are all so upset, I could hear them all crying in the background whilst she was on her mobile telling me. The school have provided a chaplain for the girls if they need to talk, the teachers are very upset too as it is such a close community within the school.
I am very proud of Laura, she is currently a form leader and remembered my words to her "be strong" and she has been comforting others and getting them to come together at this sad time. It is also hard when others don't seem so sad, but this could be due to how bereavement is handled by other faiths and cultures. A hard lesson to learn, but she has shown how mature she now is.
You never know what tomorrow brings.
